Partnership Teach
Partnership Teach is the affordable, online degree completion model offered by ECU’s College of Education to increase the number of high-quality teachers in local communities. Students begin by taking specific courses at any NC community college and then transfer to ECU to complete one of four teaching degrees. Students graduate with a four-year degree in elementary education, middle grades education, or special education.

In 2002, the College of Education at ECU established Partnership East. The model was created to provide a high quality affordable option for working adults to become teachers without leaving their home communities. Over 850 graduates later, Partnership Teach continues to be a great value in distance education for future teachers.
Available Partnership Teach Cohorts
Students graduate with a four-year degree from ECU by completing the first two years of the program at any one of our partnering community colleges followed by taking ECU courses online. Throughout the program, students are placed in public school classrooms in or near their home communities to participate in learning opportunities related to their online coursework. A supervised, full-time internship in a public school classroom is required for all students in their senior year.
