Resources for Students

East Carolina University has several offices and resources devoted to cultivating a culture of care, belonging, and wellness for our students.

ECU CARES

ECU CARES was developed to offer assistance to distressed individuals, connecting them to appropriate campus resources, and reporting concerning behavior to professionals on campus. Resources include the Center for Counseling and Student DEvelopment, Office of the Dean of Students, ECU Police, Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, ECU Advocacy, Student Health Services, Title IX/Office of Equity and Diversity, REAL Crisis Intervention, Center for Family Violence Prevention, ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville Police Department, and Pitt County Sheriff’s Office.

Intercultural Affairs

Intercultural Affairs’ vision is to create inclusive and equitable communities where all persons confidently know and are known. Some of the offices in Intercultural Affairs include the Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement, Dr. Jesse R. Peel LGBTQ Center, Ledonia Wright Cultural Center, the Military & Veteran Resource Center, and the Women and Gender Office. There are several signature programs IA hosts such as the Storm the Stadium, #ECUnited and the Love One Another Symposium. They also offer resources around democratic engagement, pronouns and the Purple Pantry.

Office of Global Affairs

The Office of Global Affairs is home to resources for international students, students wishing to study abroad, and virtual exchange programs.
