COE Diversity Committee

The COE Diversity Committee seeks to provide leadership on DEIJ in the college, promote attitudes that affirm, respect, and celebrate diversity while raising awareness, and support activities that assist students, faculty, staff and community partners with self-awareness, understanding and appropriate interactions with culturally different and diverse individuals. The committee also oversees the Profiles in Diversity Award, which recognizes a faculty or staff member in COE for the commitments to DEIJ work.

ECU CARES

ECU CARES was developed to offer assistance to distressed individuals, connecting them to appropriate campus resources, and reporting concerning behavior to professionals on campus. Resources include the Center for Counseling and Student DEvelopment, Office of the Dean of Students, ECU Police, Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, ECU Advocacy, Student Health Services, Title IX/Office of Equity and Diversity, REAL Crisis Intervention, Center for Family Violence Prevention, ECU Health Medical Center, Greenville Police Department, and Pitt County Sheriff’s Office.

Employee Wellness

ECU Campus Recreation & Wellness provides several resources for employee wellness, including tips, the ECU Employee Wellness Institute, health coaching, and events.

Work-Life & Wellness

ECU is committed to the health and wellness of employees and offers a variety of programs focused on healthy lifestyles and balancing the responsibilities or work and personal life. Options such as lactation accommodations, flexible work schedules, and confidential counseling services from the Faculty & Staff Assistance Program help you thrive in all of life’s important roles.
