The ECU Mathematics and Science Education Institute is a three-day professional development opportunity designed to enhance mathematics and science teaching in elementary classrooms. The institute will take place July 22-24, 2025, at East Carolina University, bringing together educators who are passionate about fostering curiosity, discovery, and joy in their classrooms. This year's institute features a keynote address from Graham Fletcher and specialized courses with experienced, knowledgeable North Carolina educators. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in question-and-answer sessions with NCDPI Elementary Mathematics and Science consultants, self-select into a variety of learning and social activities across campus, and connect with a network of educators.
