Graduate Certificates

SEFR offers three online graduate certificates. The first is in Racial Equity Studies, designed to help educators and other professionals enhance their racial literacy, develop and engage in antiracist methodologies, and become leaders on racial equity in their own schools, worksites, and communities.

The next two certificates are in the areas of Behavior Specialist and Deaf-Blindness. Candidates in these graduate programs are prepared for advanced instructional and leadership roles in special education and community services. Non-NC residents, living outside the state, may apply to the Deaf-blind certificate off-model option, which is significantly less expensive than the traditional model. Educators interested in the NC Exceptional Children Program Administrator licensure may complete the coursework requirements at ECU.
