Centers

SEFR is proud to house both the Irene Howell Assistive Technology (IHAT) Center and Neurocognition Science Laboratory (NCSL). The IHAT Center provides students across campus with a series of professional development focused in the area of assistive technology. Candidates have access to a multitude of low to mid assistive technologies that will benefit students with disabilities. The IHAT center also provides online continuing education credits for perspective teachers and community member across the state (see Continuing & Professional Education for more information). The NCSL, on the other hand, provides students and faculty across the university an opportunity to engage in scholarly work focusing on the nexus between Virtual Reality and education.
