College of Education Events
The College of Education has several special events throughout the year to which all faculty and staff are invited. All full-time faculty are expected to attend graduate recognition ceremonies and scholarship ceremonies. These events are planned by the Office of Community Relations and Outreach.
COE Scholarship Ceremony
The COE Scholarship Ceremony is a reception held annually in August to honor scholarship recipients and donors. Faculty, donors, scholarship recipients, and families attend.

Educators Hall of Fame Ceremony
The Educators Hall of Fame ceremony is a development and recognition event that is held annually to support four-year scholarships for students intending to major in education.

COE Graduate Recognition Ceremony
The COE Graduate Recognition Ceremony is held at the end of every fall and spring semester at a time determined by the university. As details for the COE Graduate Recognition Ceremony are established, the COE graduation page will be updated. All COE faculty are encouraged to attend. Faculty are requested to wear academic regalia, if possible.

Homecoming Breakfast on the Porch
Homecoming Breakfast on the Porch offers COE faculty, staff, students, alumni, friends and family members the opportunity to gather on the porch of the Speight building for a light breakfast and a great view of the ECU Homecoming Parade.

Alumni Tailgate & Other Alumni Events
Every year the College of Education hosts an alumni tailgate along with other alumni events. These events allow COE alumni to reconnect with their alma mater and stay informed of what is happening in the college.
