Student Opportunities
The University Writing Center provides students with free writing consultations in which a consultant will work closely with students on specific writing skills. Face-to-face and virtual appointments are available.
While you are a graduate student at East Carolina University, Joyner Library’s Teaching Resources Center will be happy to assist you. Graduate and distance education students have access to the same materials and services undergraduates and on-campus students do, but there are also special services just for graduate and distance education students.
ScholarShip is ECU’s Institutional Repository. ScholarShip allows students to submit original work and view the work of others.
Research & Creative Achievement Week
ECU Research and Creative Achievement Week provides students with an opportunity to practice their presentation skills and meet other creative scholars at ECU with similar interests in a professional, conference-style setting.
Graduate Certificate/Licensure Programs
There are additional certificates and licensure program options for online graduate students in the College of Education. For example, Academically and Intellectually Gifted, Autism, Community College Instruction. Contact COEGRAD@ECU.EDU for more information.
Distance Education Student Organization
DESO provides a community and connection to the ECU main campus for DE (distance education) students by giving the DE population a collective voice and opportunity to meet other DE students. The organization meets virtually on line and utilizes Bb as the connection to other DE students.
