IHAT Modules: Professional Development

The IHAT Center offers a variety of professional development sessions on assistive technology. These online sessions are embedded in College of Education coursework, but candidates are welcome to explore/complete sessions of personal interest as well.

All IHAT professional development modules are offered online only for ECU students. If your course requires an IHAT session, you should have been automatically enrolled.

  • If you don’t see IHAT on your Canvas menu, email us at atcenter@ecu.edu, and we will add you to the site.
  • If you would like to complete a session for your own professional knowledge (but are not taking a course that requires it), email us and we will add you to our site.

The IHAT Center is located in Speight 239.  The IHAT staff are available to offer support on the online sessions and help you check out assistive technologies for short term loan.  You may either stop in during open hours or email us at atcenter@ecu.edu to make an appointment for assistance. Open hours are posted on the SP 239 door and in the IHAT Canvas site.
