Permit to Teach/Emergency
Permit to Teach is a non-renewable license offered to teachers who are hired for one year only, paid as a teacher with no experience, in a NC More at Four Classroom, Public school, or Public Charter school. These individuals have less than 18 hours in the content area they teach.
Emergency is a non-renewable license offered to teachers who are hired for one year only, paid according to degree/experience. These individuals have 18-23 hours in the content area they teach.
