Mursion@ECU grant applications now available for NC school systems

Teaching class in MursionThe East Carolina University (ECU) College of Education is pleased to present an innovative professional development experience for faculty and staff across the educational spectrum. Mursion is an immersive learning experience that provides participants with a safe space in which they can practice what they have learned in the classroom and throughout their careers with an opportunity to get direct feedback from virtual students, peers, and authorized observers.

We are so proud of the work our 2017-18 Mursion@ECU grant recipients are doing, that we are happy to be able to offer up to 5 grants for the 2018-19 school year. These grants are intended for professional development use by K-12 staff and faculty to support the design and use of Mursion role play scenarios appropriate for the faculty, staff, and
student populations served by eligible school districts.

Applications are currently available by clicking this link* and are due by June 15th. Applicants will be notified of award results by July 15, 2018.

Winning teams will be required to attend a 1-day Grant Recipient Workshop of July 25th on ECU’s campus. Failure to attend will result in forfeiture of the award.

We look forward to seeing your ideas and finding out how you want to use Mursion in your district. Any questions, please email mursion@ecu.edu.
