Sarah Owens named Masa Teaching Fellow
Congratulations to our College of Education Senior, Sarah Owens who has been accepted into the Masa Israel Teaching Fellows program. Sarah is an Elementary Education major with a concentration in reading. Masa Israel Teaching Fellows is a 10-month fellowship for college graduates between the ages of 21 and 30.
Through this program, Sarah will be teaching English to grades 3-8 in Rishon LeZion which is the 4th largest city in Israel. She will be teaching 4 days a week, and taking Hebrew classes weekly. Sarah learned of this fellowship while on her Taglit-birthright trip to Israel last summer with her sister. The birthright trip is a free 10-day trip to Israel for Jewish men and women, ages 18-26. We’re so proud of you and can’t wait to see what you accomplish in Israel, Sarah!
