IHAT Center Presents at NCCEC 2017

The Irene Howell Assistive Technology (IHAT) Center staff membersĀ gave three poster presentations at the North Carolina Council for Exceptional Children (NCCEC) Conference in Wilmington, NC on January 19, 2017. The presentations, titled: Create, Ride, Calm, Still the Waves using Universally Designed Technology as AT to Support 1) Literacy, 2) Behavior, and 3) Communication, focused on sharing and demonstrating a variety of iPad apps that are helpful for supporting these three areas for students with and without disabilities. The sessions were well received by conference participants. Participating IHAT Staff included Special Education undergraduates Ayla Allen, Taylor Carangi, Alecia Castellano, Caroline Cummins, Sarah Robinson, Rica Spriggs, Nicole Stevenson, and Elementary undergraduate, Hannah Vaughn.
