My mom is my biggest inspiration; I aspire to teach like her!

What is your favorite thing about history education?

I love constantly discovering new history facts; I hope to share that joy with my students.

What has been one of your favorite moments at ECU?

One of my favorite memories at ECU was walking into the Speight for the first time and feeling so at home, ready to pursue my teaching degree.

Do you have advice for students looking to pursue a degree in education?

My advice for students who are interested in pursuing a degree in teaching is to stay true to their passion for teaching and not let others discourage them. It is very important to fully understand the difference you will be making in the classroom.
