Cate is in the education living learning community and is a North Carolina Teaching Fellow.

High School Attended: The Epiphany School of Global Studies

Intended Major: elementary education

Reason for choosing education:

I love learning, kids, and helping others. I have always enjoyed helping my peers with homework and helping take care of younger kids. Teaching combines all of these aspects into one job that helps many future generations grow and learn how to take care of our world and each once we’re too old to help and guide them anymore.

Why did you choose ECU?

I attended a summer camp at ECU for future teachers. I loved this program and had so much fun that it finally pushed me to decide on ECU as my first choice for college.

What is your favorite thing about ECU?

I love how accessible and welcoming it is at ECU. ECU has an amazing education program with many different programs and opportunities that are available to students.
