Elementary education students get first access to new TRC technology

Written by Ronnie Woodward

Elementary education students were able to get access to new instructional technology tools in the Teaching Resources Center at Joyner Library.

A class session involving students majoring in elementary education was recently held at the Teaching Resources Center inside the main campus library, giving those ECU students first access to newly added instructional technology tools in the TRC.

The elementary education majors collaborated with Teaching Resources Center staff members Jessica Deel and Vatoyia Gardner with Bee-Bot early coding robots, Osmo interactives for iPad, Sphero programmable robots, Ozobots, Merge Cube AR/VR interactives and Rocketbook smart notebooks. The Head of the TRC, Charlene Loope, said many of the students remained after the class period was completed to continue practicing with classroom-friendly technology tools.
