Lin, Broughton conduct virtual workshop for BSOM

On Tuesday, November 16, Drs. Xi Lin and Phyllis Broughton of the Department of Interdisciplinary Professions conducted a virtual workshop on Bridging Generation Gaps in Teaching and Learning for the Brody School of Medicine faculty, students, and staff.
The one-hour workshop included (1) a review of characteristics and generational gaps in teaching and learning, (2) a review of Brody School of Medicine (BSOM) data from a survey revised by Drs. Lin and Broughton of faculty, staff, and students’ expectations of instructor’s behaviors in face-to-face and online settings, and (3) a discussion of implications of generational gaps and how to improve the teaching and learning process.
