Moore awarded NC DKG Beginning Teacher of the Year

In April 2021, Taylor Moore was selected as the first recipient to receive the NC Beginning Teacher Award from NC DKG (NC Delta Kappa Gamma).  NC DKG promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education.  Taylor was nominated by the Beta Upsilon Chapter of NC DKG which serves Bertie, Gates, Hertford, Martin, Tyrrell, and Washington Counties.

Taylor received her BA degree in English from Meredith College in 2017 and completed her Master of Arts in Teaching from East Carolina University in 2018.

She taught English at Riverside High School in Williamston, North Carolina, for the past three years.   She is now teaching English at Camden County High School.  Beta Upsilon Chapter President commented that Taylor is an outstanding teacher with a love for teaching.  She is dedicated to help students learn.” Brenda Reese, NC DKG Beginning Teacher chair commented that “Taylor was the best of the best!”
