Avent Harris participates in leadership institute

Dr. Janeé Avent Harris participated in Leadership Institute for Faith and Education: Building Partnerships for Equity, Justice, and Student from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
This institute took place from June 9, 2021 to July 11, 2021 and her participation was sponsored by Dr. Allen Guidry through the Office for Global Engagement. She was able to connect with national and international education and faith partners.
“I am so thankful for the opportunity to participate in this cohort,” Avent Harris said. “I was able to deepen my knowledge related to the intersections of faith communities and educational organizations. This experience will strengthen my research, teaching, and service areas as I focus on collaborations between faith leaders and mental health professionals. Thank you to Dr. Guidry and the COE Global Engagement Office for their investment and support of my participation.”
