Zhang elected to board of directors of American Evaluation Association
Dr. Guili Zhang has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Evaluation Association and will be sworn in during the month of December 2020. Dr. Zhang is professor and chair of the Department of Special Education, Foundations, and Research in East Carolina University’s College of the Education.
Dr. Zhang has been an active leader of the American Evaluation Association for the past 15 years, serving as Chair of the American Evaluation Association’s Assessment in Higher Education TIG, and Chair of the American Evaluation Association’s Quantitative Methods: Theory and Design TIG. Dr. Zhang is an Advisory Board member of the American Journal of Evaluation, the official journal of the American Evaluation Association, and the most impactful journal in evaluation.
Dr. Zhang is widely recognized in the evaluation field for her co-authored authoritative book on program evaluation — The CIPP Evaluation Model, how to Evaluate for Improvement and Accountability. A recipient of several top national and international research and evaluation awards, Dr. Zhang has been actively engaged in the evaluation of a wide range of projects and programs, and frequently provides invited workshops on grant design and evaluation across the United States and internationally.
The American Evaluation Association is an international professional association of evaluators devoted to the application and exploration of program evaluation, personnel evaluation, technology, and many other forms of evaluation. AEA has approximately 7700 members representing all 50 states in the United States as well as over 60 foreign countries.
