MSITE offers MAEd cohort in elementary mathematics
The Department of Mathematics, Science, and Instructional Technology Education is offering a Masters of Arts in Education in Mathematics Education, Elementary Cohort, starting in fall 2020.
This course is designed for the busy, cost-conscious professional and is completely online. The cohort will begin fall 2020 and finish in summer 2022. It is practitioner-oriented and designed to sharpen instructional expertise, deepen mathematics knowledge, and promote leadership in mathematics education.
Completing the Elementary Mathematics Concentration also allows you to:
- Expand career opportunities
- Interact with colleagues in a cohort model
- Add mathematics to your elementary license; obtain M-level middle grades mathematics certification (with passing Praxis Test)
- Learn the latest research on mathematics teaching and learning
- Receive support to attend conferences and present professionally
- Complete assignments that prepare you for the NBPTS
The special features of this program are:
- Cost: It’s less than half of a comparable on-campus program
- You can use financial aid for this program and there are scholarship opportunities
