Counselor Education faculty articles in high demand

Three Counselor Education program faculty members, Drs. Loni Crumb, Janeé Avent Harris, and Allison Crowe, received recognition for having their respective articles recognized as one among the top 20 professional papers downloaded in acclaimed counseling journals published between January 2017 and December 2018 by Wiley Publishing Company.  Their work generates immediate impact and visibility, contributing significantly to the advancement of the counselor education field.

Dr. Loni Crumb’s article, An Integrative Approach: Relational Cultural Theory and Cognitive Behavior Therapy in College Counseling, was published in the Journal of College Counseling.

Dr. Janeé Avent Harris’ articles, Faith Race, and LGB Affirmation: Experiences of African American Counselors-in-Training, Interview Experiences and Diversity Concerns of Counselor Education Faculty From Underrepresented Groups, and Academic Role and Perceptions of Gatekeeping were published in Counselor Education and Supervision.

Dr. Allison Crowe’s article, Self-Stigma, Mental Health Literacy, and Health Outcomes in Integrated Care, was published in the Journal of Counseling & Development.
