2019 Educator Excellence Summit Announced and Open

2019 Educator Excellence Summit - June 12 & 13 - Bringing out the best in educators through Leadership, Collaboration, and ReflectionWe will be holding the 2nd Annual Educator Excellence Summit which will be held on June 12th and 13th! Last year we had a great turnout with educators attending from 26 districts. This year we have moved the venue to the ECU Heart Center to avoid having to cap registration and to ease up parking.

The conference is one of the activities we facilitate to give educators an opportunity to earn CEUs for attending sessions directly related to their practice. Topics will be affiliated with the NC Teaching Standards and may include: Leadership, ELL, Diversity, Bullying, Differentiation, Motivation, Classroom Harmony, Retention, and School amongst others. You can view last year’s program at http://coeweb.ecu.edu/links/2018_Educator_Excellence_Summit_Schedule.pdf

This year’s venue is the ECU Heart Center to provide more space and better parking. We are excited to have exceptional guest speakers presenting on important educational topics, Microsoft providing training sessions for educators on how to utilize Microsoft Office 365, and we will be including Mursion again in several of the sessions. We will also be including at least one additional set of sessions. The exact number of synchronous sessions will depend on registration numbers and proposal submissions, but there may be up to four. In addition to the main conference, we will also be offering a Teacher Leader Seminar from 1:30-4:30 pm on June 13th that is limited participants who preregister for it.

To register go to http://bit.ly/2019EdExcellence joining us for an exciting experience! Participants who attend both days can earn up to 1.2 CEUs. We are also accepting proposals through May 1st to present and encourage your leaders to present, which will also allow them to attend the conference free. To submit a proposal, go to http://bit.ly/EdExcellenceProposal.
