Student Council for Exceptional Children members attend NCCEC Conference
Students from ECU’s Student Council for Exceptional Children (SCEC) attended the North Carolina Council for
Exceptional Children Conference on January 19th and 20th, 2017 in Wilmington, NC. Eight students volunteered at the conference by assisting the session speakers and helping to raise money for scholarships. A highlight for many students was attending the keynote address by Dr. Diane Browder, a professor at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, who is one of the authors of a textbook used in one of their special education courses.
Drs. Stacy Weiss and Chris Rivera are the faculty advisors for SCEC.
