Hiring Mursion Interactors
East Carolina University has partnered with Mursion Inc. to offers both students and professionals cutting-edge, simulation-based training opportunities for mastering the skills necessary to excel within their field. This revolutionary experience takes place in a mixed-reality virtual simulator helmed by an Interactor.
An Interactor possesses a multi-faceted and unique skill set including:
- Performing experience (acting, improvisation, standardized patient and/or role-playing)
- The innate ability to listen and respond with sincerity, empathy, and emotional honesty
- The ability to match and maintain distinct, realistic voices
- The capacity to both understand and honestly portray vastly different psychological profiles
- A mastery of their actor’s instrument: voice, body, and imagination
- The ability to present a youthful essence and matching age-appropriate content
- Comfort with basic computer skills
- Experience with (or interest in learning) gaming technology
Additional advantages include:
- Knowledge of pop culture
- Experience with or a background in education is preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
The training schedule for this project is March but is subject to change depending on the success of recruitment. Once trained, each Interactor will work approximately 20 hours per week. The projected schedule for shifts would be Monday – Friday for 4-5 hours per day between the hours of 7 am and 7 pm.
All training and subsequent work is compensated at $18-20/hour and will take place at East Carolina University.
Auditions will be held remotely via video conferencing.
