Scholarship and Creative Activities Excellence Award
Award Description
The College of Education Scholarship and Creative Activities Excellence Award recognizes faculty who demonstrate exceptional contributions to research and scholarship that advance the strategic priority of the college and university. This award honors impactful work that generates new knowledge, applies innovative methodologies, and addresses critical issues in education. Recipients exemplify excellence in producing high-quality, peer-reviewed publications, securing external funding, and disseminating research that enhances student success and informs best practices for the field. Awardees also demonstrate a commitment to fostering interdisciplinary collaborations and applying research to meaningful solutions that enhance communities.
Awards Per Year
One award will be conferred annually. A financial stipend will be awarded to the winner, contingent upon available funding.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be a current full time tenure track or tenured faculty member in the College of Education
- Have been employed in the COE for at least 1 academic semester
Nomination Application Procedure and Guidelines
- Nominators may submit only one nomination per award category.
- Self-nominations are permitted.
- The nominee must prepare and submit the complete award packet. Incomplete packets will not be considered.
- All required materials must be submitted via the designated form (link will be provided).
Required Application materials:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) — Not to exceed 5 pages
- Cover letter — Not to exceed 2 pages. Should include teaching philosophy and clearly describe how the candidate’s work meets the award criteria.
- Supplemental Material — Not to exceed 5 pages. Include selected evidence that highlights the quality and influence of your work, such as excerpts of publications, conference presentations, or creative contributions like multimedia resources or assessment tools. Choose items that clearly demonstrate originality, impact, and relevance to College of Education disciplines.
